Nail punches
Nail punches ensure a neat finish to joinery projects. They're used to finish driving nails or pins flush with, or slightly below, a surface. The punch is struck with a hammer, and in turn strikes the head of the nail or pin to 'bury' it. Centre punches are struck in a similar way but are intended to mark a surface, either for decorative purposes or to identify where to drill or screw.
